For you to be able to play an instrument perfectly, you must practice continuously or frequently. And there are guidelines for the proper position and posture to make sure that you can execute it right. There are different instruments that you can play but that does not mean that you are limited to one. There are other people who can play various types. If you think that you have mastered one particular set, you can move on to the next if you wish.

One of the most recommended kind would be the violin. There are many people who have dreamed of being on their own concert and play it. It takes perseverance and hard work for you to master it. Aside from that you would need the right instrument. For you to not get seriously injured while you are practicing, you need to follow the correct violin hand posture.

When it comes to the positions that you can use to hold the violin, there are several types. You just have to choose the position you feel you would be able to play well. And if you follow the tips for a better playing postures below, you will have the physical ability to continue your practices.

Athletes are usually made to stretch and warm their muscles up if they are about to do the game. But stretching is not only applicable to them. It is also the practice of musicians. Remember that you will also be using your muscles. You have to specifically stretch those parts that you would frequently use, for example, your hands.

One of the basic posture rules to follow is to always sit up straight. This is not only being followed by musicians but by people in general, especially if they have to sit for longer periods of time. It is important to keep the spine aligned. This way, you would not have to face the threats of osteoporosis and hunched back.

Shoulder pads will keep your skin and muscles protected. Even though the violin is very light, you will stain sustain pains especially since you will have to hold on to it for longer amounts of time. If you do not want to endure any kind of pain, you would do well to remember purchasing pads. Some do not want this option because they can be bulky and can hinder good sounds. But there are those that are thinner in the market.

When you start playing, you should also see to it that you always grip the bow in a relaxed manner. This will make it easier for you to control it. And if you do not practice this, you will always feel the pressure in your wrist. This can cause serious damage to the joints in your wrist. This is what you should avoid from happening because you might not be able to play longer if you try to push it.

When you are practicing, it would be a good idea to keep the sheets of music at eye level. And this means that you have to take a seat or elevate the holder of sheet music for you to see it. If you stand and the sheet is lower, you will have to hunch your back to see it. And this is not very ideal.

Rehearsing for hours is good, but you should also know when to stop. Know your limits for this kind of thing. If you always push yourself too hard and too abruptly, you will suffer certain conditions later in life. There are those who have had wrist injuries and joint conditions because of poor posture.
