Spiritual Adventure Is Great For The Soul

By Essie Osborn

Many people around like to experience new things during their lifetime since human beings do not live that long. A few individuals will have a spiritual adventure at least one time during their time here on Earth. This is something that can be planned or come quite naturally. Some time ago Hollywood touched upon this subject when they created the movie "Eat, Pray, Love." Within this movie the lady traveled around the world to discover her true value as a person.

She met all kinds of interesting people who taught her a variety of different things. Fortunately the character also found romance which was very important. There was a man living in New York City who had decided to go on one of these quests since things were not going well for him at this time. He decided to leave his job for a while and take a trip around the world from the money that he saved.

His parents were originally from Europe and they left this place after they were married. Once they were wed this couple decided to head to America and never return to their homeland again. Their son really wanted to know about his family tree since this had always been such a big mystery. His first stop was Ireland and he received a very warm welcome from his foreign relatives.

For a few days he was able to experience all of the Irish traditions that his parents had forgotten about. The nights were filled with dancing and lots of laughter. Everyone had some great story to tell about his grandparents and parents who were once part of this clan.

He would learn many Irish tunes from his cheerful uncle who liked to eat and drink many times during the day. This good uncle would always have a bit of whiskey in his coffee, tea or milk. It made him a more relaxed and friendly person. The aunt enjoyed cooking delicious foods. Once this fun was over he took off for Scotland.

His uncle was indeed happy to welcome the lad into his home. The first night that he was there the two men laughed and talked about events from the past and present. His uncle showed him how to play the bagpipes in a matter of hours and this was indeed a good thing.

The next few days were indeed very pleasant for him and his uncle since the two men had learned so much from one another. This was one young man who was determined to find out about all of his European family members. He spent his final vacation days in London, England since this was a place that had so much to offer. Unfortunately all of his family who had once lived in this great placed had already passed away.

This made him very sad but he decided to rent a hotel room and stay for a few days. Luckily this male had enough money to enjoy all of the sites of this city and was able to travel in great style. When his journey was over he had a better understanding about his family and life.
