It's clear that there are many different establishments that not only promote art but support it wholeheartedly. From museums to the many galleries designed to spread awareness, I believe that there is plenty of art to behold, regardless of whether it's reached the public eye or not. One might not think about the idea of art as it relates to marketing, though, which can be done through trailer wraps and the like. In order to cover this idea with greater emphasis, Art Everywhere should be taken into consideration.
The Guardian posted an article that talked about how Art Everywhere, a campaign in the UK, is being put to use. For those not in the know, Art Everywhere is the biggest art exhibition in the country and it has placed a series of different works across 30,000 billboards and posters alike. To say that this is a great method for the sake of awareness would be an understatement. After all, sooner or later, someone is going to take notice of these various pieces of art.
As someone who has interest in this particular method, one has to wonder if it can actually be taken further. Yes, items like billboards and posters are tremendous; no one will be able to dispute this. However, it wouldn't be out of the question to consider that vehicle and trailer wraps could be utilized in order to showcase various pieces of art. It's just a matter of high-quality wraps being utilized, which is where authorities such as JMR Graphics would be addressed.
Art Everywhere, from what I have seen, is the type of method that is meant to help differentiate what you and me would characterize as standard marketing. It would be easy enough to visualize a piece of fine art being shown right after an ad meant to promote an energy drink. Seeing as how billboards and other such platforms are being used for this purpose, it's not like Art Everywhere will have a short reach, either. In fact, I'd like to think that a method like this can stand to be used to help many different artists.
A method like Art Everywhere definitely has potential and it should be utilized time and time again. Art is meant to engage people, an affect which I'm sure will be heightened as it helps to break up the standard flow of marketing on billboards, posters, and the like. The UK has a strong concept in mind when it comes to Art Everywhere. It's just a matter of making sure it lasts so that its benefits will prove to be that much more constant.
