Science Fiction Music Over The Years

In the film and music industry, the science fiction or simply sci fi genre is in fact very popular and has a big long line of followers. Ever since the dawn of ages, many people have been amazed by outer space and how the future may lead to the expansion of the human race to other places in space. It is because of this that science fiction music became popular because of the movies and the bands.

In general, this type of musical genre would make use of spacelike sounds that would also make use of marching beats. In both the film and musical industry, many composers would make use of these future type sounds for their creations. This is apparent in a lot of compositions that people can see up unto these days.

Now to start off, there would be the film sci fi film scores that are used to add effect to the story and development of the characters. In fact, one of the most popular of all films would be Star Wars with a track list that is extremely memorable to most people. One of the most famous of these scores would be the opening score when the credits roll in. Another one would be the marching sound of the Sith army marching with Darth Vader.

Now other scores that have made it quite famous would be none other than the X files and Star Trek. Star Trek has always been a fan favorite and many would also love the scores that the movie would produce. The X files also has a very good soundtrack that would actually give an alien and space like feeling.

Of course there are also a lot of songs that would fall into the sci fi genre when it comes to music. In fact, there are a lot of sci fi themed bands that would make use of sounds that are robotic with synth music that would give a space sound. Of course this would also be supplemented with lyrics that are also spaced themed.

Most people from the late sixties and early seventies up until today would remember the rock band Pink Floyd. Even up until today, Pink Floyd has created a big impact on the sci fi genre because of their robotic and alien sounds. Another thing about this band is that their singer would also sound like an alien from far away when he sings.

Even today, there are still a lot of bands out there who would actually go into the sci fi musical genre. These days, club music like techno or house would make use of robotic voices, robotic sounds, and futuristic beats. Of course the synth pop bands would also follow with their far out sounds.

So basically, those are some of the things one should know about this genre. Now there are a lot of upcoming bands that would come from Tucson AZ. With the popularity of this kind of genre, there are actually a lot of people who would want to go into space music.
